Why did you choose veterinary medicine?
"I chose veterinary medicine because helping and learning about animals has been my passion since I was a kid. I grew up competing in 4H and FFA, showing livestock, and riding in horse shows and rodeo since I was 6 years old. Doing all of that made it very clear that I wanted to spend my life working with animals in any way possible. I have always loved taking care of animals but working in this industry also allows me to help the owners who care just as much for their pets as I do."
What do you love about your job at DSAH?
"The thing I love the most about working at DSAH is my coworkers. We have an amazing team that is willing to help with anything, is always supportive and cares about each other. This team of amazing doctors, technicians, and client care specialists all work together for one common goal which is to give the best care to our patients and their owners."
Tell me about your pets:
"I live with my family and 4 dogs. Doc is the oldest. He is a 13-year-old Blue Queensland heeler who loves working cows, pigs, and is kind of a grumpy old man. Koda, Doc’s son, is 5 years old and also a Blue Queensland heeler. Koda is a high-energy, wild dog that loves to play ball and run. Next is Chloe, she is a sassy 8-year-old Miniature Pincher that keeps all the boys in check. And finally, we have Scout, the 7-year-old Chihuahua mutt, who is very food motivated and spends most of his time begging for whatever you’re eating or sleeping under one of his many blankets."
