Why did you choose veterinary medicine?

"I chose the veterinary industry after working in the pet care industry for the past 5 years. I realized even with all the knowledge of how to care for animals I knew nothing about the medical aspect of taking care of people's pets. I knew that becoming a vet tech would be the next step in advancing my knowledge base and be able to provide a higher standard of care of the animals I know and love."

Tell me about your pets:

Dakota has the most wonderful, sweet, silly, and smart 3-year-old Border Collie named, Finn. His favorite thing in the world is to play ball. He's the fastest dog at the dog park, that Dakota has ever seen, he often has to slow his pace down to let other dogs catch up with him. Dakota and Finn love to go hiking and camping together but Finn will ruin a fishing trip because he thinks the pole is a tennis ball launcher and will jump into the river after it.
